Chasteen House
Chasteen House provides services for people living with Alzheimer’s and or other dementia that not only includes person-centered care, but also fun, invigorating activities and opportunities for wellness and exercise.
Like our Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing, Chasteen House is also designed where residents live in individual neighborhoods with caregivers trained in working with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Chasteen House is known for its WAVES Program, an aquatic-based experience where people living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other physical / cognitive needs are led through a series of easy but invigorating exercise. WAVES is designed to stimulate appetite and reduce agitation – two common symptoms of Alzheimer’s – and in turn, could stimulate cognitive and cardiovascular function. The resident’s caregivers work through each exercise hand in hand or side by side to ensure safety and a comfort level for all participants.
