Educational Television Star Patrick McMillan To Visit Cascades Verdae for Lecture
Cascades Verdae, a premier retirement community located in Greenville, S.C., will host Educational Television (ETV) star Patrick McMillan on Friday, November 4. The afternoon will begin at 1:30 p.m. with a walk on the retirement community’s nature trail and culminate with an educational lecture directly following the outing.
McMillan is the host, co-creator and writer of the popular ETV nature program, Expeditions. He is a professional naturalist and biologist who also serves as director of the Campbell Museum of Natural History at Clemson University.
During the afternoon, members of the retirement community will participate in a guided walk with McMillan on the nature trail which winds around the community’s 40-acre wooded campus. Following the walk, McMillan will lecture briefly on the flora and fauna local to the Upstate and also answer questions from the audience.
